How to create a DP blast online
A DP blast is a moment when a whole group switches their display picture to the same frame. Create the frame on Framezi, share the link a few days early, and pick a date and time for everyone to change their DP together.
What is a DP blast?
"DP" stands for display picture. In a DP blast, members of a church, school, company or event audience all change their profile picture to a matching frame, so the group's message appears in many feeds at once.
How to run one
- Create a campaign with the event name and date on the frame. The DP blast maker page has designs to start from.
- Turn on name printing if you want each person's name on their DP.
- Share the link and QR code a few days before, with a clear time: "Switch your DP on Sunday at 9 am".
- On the day, post a reminder in every group with the link again.
- Ask people to also post the tall 9:16 version to WhatsApp Status or Instagram Stories.
Tips that help
- Ask leaders to switch first and share a screenshot: people follow people they know.
- Keep the headline short so it stays readable on a small round profile picture.
- Use the live wall on a venue screen to show framed photos as they come in.
